I am pretty familiar with Ripple , both automatic and manual, but if I have seveal clips on a timeline with gaps between them and at the end of my editing want to remove all gaps (like a post edit ripple) how is that accomplished.
Just double click in the gaps, and hit Delete. The clips will move backstream to fill the gap.
Depending on the gap size, you could use Ultimate S or other scripting tool to close all gaps at once.
You can download a package of free scripts here: All Scripts. Try the Audit script by John Myer (Audit_for_short_blank_gaps) and the "deleteEmptySpaceBetweenEvents" script to start off with and see if that helps.
