Ritek discs

Apparently, there are many instances of fake discs on the market. With this in mind, I am contemplating buying a quatity of Ritek, (Ridata), discs. These discs appear to be quite the favourite amongst our fraternity, but how do we tell if they are genuine or not?

Buy a few discs. Use a program like DVD Decrypter that can read the manufacturing information from the blank disk.

Thanks for the link to Meritline. The prices are pretty darn good. There seems to be some good info on their site also.

I was in the market for a good on-line resource to purchase discs from - I may give them a try.

I've place about an order a month with them during the past six months. They have been absolutely great. For DV tape, or for Maxell DVD-R media (my personal favorite), go to Tape Resources:

I've had very good luck with Ritek - burned about 150 of them so far. Just placed an order through http://store.yahoo.com/cdrdvdrmedia/ Their prices were better than Meritline. I went with the combo deal that has the cases and free shipping.
