RITEK DVD-R media

I have purchased the 4x Ritek/Ridata DVD-R inkjet printables in the past. I love them and have only had one failure in several hundred. Well, supermediastore (where I purchase) is now selling the 4x Ritek/Arita instead. I know nothing about these. I want 4x. Does anyone have experience with these? How are they?

Thanks.

Steve

I just bought 300. They seem to be exactly the same discs aside from the labeling. I have no complaints so far.

The Ritek 8x discs I bought recently were not as good. I had some skipping and stuttering problems as well as a number of discs that failed completely.

For now I'm back to the 4x Riteks (Ritek/Arita). For only 26 cents a disc, they are simply wonderful!

This is why I am afraid of going 8x. It is getting harder and harder to get 4x now. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

IMO, Ritek's quality control has dropped off and it's not a function of 4x or 8x. I started purchasing Taiyo Yuden after getting a batch of 100 Ritek that appear to all be bad. The TY media has been great.
