rm or wmv for streaming video ?

I've been rendering all my videos for web streaming in wmv format and wonder if rm is same quality, better or worse?

I use WMV for mine and I am happy with the file size and quality. Plus there is no annoying real media player to deal with.

real player is like spyware or worse - at best

I know many, MANY people who will simply NOT watch anything that is RM. They, and I refuse to put that software on their system. I'm always frustrated when I hear about a great video and I go to watch it and it's RM. RM is nasty stuff.
Guess I'm a little bit of a snob in that way. *sigh*

If you WANT to watch an rm video, google "real alternative". It uses an older version of media player to play rm files.

Thanks for all replies - going to stick with .wmv.
