Rnder problems

Hi,

I have a couple of issues with rendering.

1. Even though my timeline cursor is sitting at the start of my video, the render starts about halfway through every time.

2. I wanted to upload to Vimeo, and saw they use H.264 codec. I found a couple of tutorials, bot of which suggested downloading a plug in from sourge forge. In both cases the plug appears in the Video Format custom render settings accessed from the Customize Template. In my case it doesn't appear at all. I've restarted vegas and the machine.

I have Vegas Pro 13 and PAL 25k fps. The frame size is HD 1080 (1920 x 1080)

Has anyone experienc4ed either / both of these issues?

Cheers
Colin

Uncheck the Render loop region in the Render as dialog box - BOOM!

That's a little gotcha that most of us here have experienced. :-)

Hi Arthur,

It seems to, ay?

As the deadline for my project is Friday, I've had to stick with what I had in the AVI that it completed the render of. It's good enough. I've pulled the AVI back into a new project that I can add the missing credits on the end of and re-render. I can add audio envelopes to normalise the sound also, if I need to.

It's a valuable lesson learned. Pre render, save the projects on another drive. Even the .veg file would likely be an improvement on what I'd been doing before.

I am encouraged the sense of despair didn't last long.

It's all good for the human spirit right? :-)

Cheers
Colin
