Hi, does anybody understand this please. (it could be my monitor so you might not see it)
I have my png icon rolling across the screen using PinP, as it rolls there's a red fringe on the leading edge, if I pause or step frame by frame the red fringe isn't visible not even in the rendered file when played in a media player. 🤷♂️🤔 Is this a screen refresh thingy or ... ?
Can't say I am seeing anything. But it could be because I wear glasses, meaning that my eye sight could come into question. Looking at the video full screen on a LG 4K monitor.
I don't see anything. Did you try a different monitor?
I'm not seeing anything either on a 4K monitor, but keep in mind that videos uploaded directly to the forum get compressed so it's likely that the compression might be 'hiding' subtle image issues including edging. It would possibly be better if the video were uploaded to something like Dropbox, Google, OneDrive (etc) with a link posted on the forum so that an uncompressed video can be viewed and commented on.
@Reyfox @DMT3 Ah, my main screen is a Dell 32" monitor that I was viewing on, I also have a 24" Acer that I normally just open folders on, I just dragged MPC player onto that & there's is no red fringe. interesting, so it is my monitor... Thanks, when I suspected it was my monitor I didn't think to try it on the other one 😂🤦♂️ (I get the same result with VLC player)
On the smaller monitor I can see 'motion blur' , that is the part that is red on the bigger screen I think.
When watching it looks a bit like this, I recreated this in Gimp as I can't get a screen grab image or video that shows it in the capture.
I filmed it with my phone, second two passes are slowed down in Vegas.
Even captured on the phone it looks different than to the eye.

@Dexcon Hi, thanks, I inc the link in my comment above. I see it in the forum video I posted in my first comment on my 32" screen but dragging this web page to my other 24" screen & viewing my video again I don't see it.
It's something about my monitor & how the human eye perceives it as I've got 20/20 vision 🤷♂️
@Gid ... Thanks for the Google Drive link. On my fairly ordinary laptop monitor, there seemed to be a reddish tinged edge on the trailing edge of the icon, but on my desktop Dell 4K monitor, the edges on the icon - both leading and trailing - seemed clean.
Both monitors have 60Hz refresh rates.
@Dexcon Thanks, that one was made with Voukoder but Magix AVC, HEVC & ProRes all show the same. Yep both my monitors are 60Hz.
I might have a play to see what difference 59.94fps makes, I suspect it'll just be less visible (just did that & yep same red leading edge) . & it's interesting you say 'trailing edge' but for me it's the leading edge 🤔
I wonder what the difference is with our 4k Dell monitors apart from yours is twice the price 😂
Which setting do you have in 'Resample Mode' in Project Properties? Does swapping between the 3 choices make any difference?
