Change it's length by ctrl-clicking on the end and dragging it out. Only seems to work to about 30 seconds though.

You can get a freeze frame by setting the velocity envelope to 0.

Of course, you can also slow the roll with a velocity envelope but be careful to then set the length properly or it will either be cut short or repeat.

Credit rolls are a subcategory of generated media- media created inside Vegas. The length of generated media is defined "at birth"- meaning whatever length is first defined on the timeline. You can change the length of the generated media after it is born: go to the generator property page and set the length to whatever you want.

Thank you for your help in these matters.

Doesn't work here, never has. Changing it from the default 10 seconds 'at birth' has no effect, and going into properties and trying to change it later has no effect.

If you change the media length from 10 seconds to, say, 40 seconds, it will still occupy 10 seconds on the timeline. However, when you play it, it should run 1/4 as fast and stop 1/4 of the way though. After changing the length, you have to drag the event out to that length on the timeline as well. *sigh* I wish this was automatic!
