rotating and resizing video

I took some footage of the boys skating on my phone camera and held the phone in portait orientation while filming, now i want to rotate it and resize it so the entire film is in the frame of a 1280x720 (the native for the events). I rotated it with pan crop but when I zoom in it won't show me the whole frame top to bottom, just crops the top and bottom. Tried setting properties for the project to 720x1280 and it didn't help. Suggestions? (Using Vegas 10)

Right-click in the Pan/Crop window and select "Match Output Aspect".
Now zoom as desired.

thanks Mike, that fixed it.

On edit - it's much better but it's still cropping it some - I even expanded the frame out past the borders of the frame so there's a border around it when it's playing and it still crops it some. The original is 1280x720. Properities when I right click on it says it's 12fpm and a 3GPP audio/video (.3GP) file format

OK, I got it working, just had to start over from scratch for some reason, thanks for the help!
