Rotating pictures

Hi,

I have VMS 7 which I use occassionaly. I wanted to make a slideshow and I imported all the pictures. There is no problem with landscape pictures. How do I rotate the picture so that the portrait mode is displayed vertically and not horizontally without going through pan/crop where I can see the rotation? I am sure it is a simple answer like clicking a clockwise or anticlockwise arrow but I could not figure out.

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi VeeCee,
I always rotate my pictures before I import them, as that is much faster and more efficient for me. However, in your case pick one picture>go to Pan/Crop>go to 'angle'>set it to 90 or -90>close Pan/Crop>copy that picture>Ctrl click all pictures you want to rotate>right click on one of them and select 'paste attributes'. Let us know if that helps. Cin

EDIT:Followed my editor's advice.

I think you mean "Ctrl-click" instead of "Ctrl-copy". :)

Is there some part of Blonde you don't understand? ;) And yes, I meant to say Ctrl + click. Cin

Thank you.

When I try the pan/crop method, I can see the landscape and the rotation to portrait. Like you suggested, I rotated all the pictures before adding them in VMS. It works fine!!

I just encountered this same problem...only I had several photos that I needed to rotate 90 degrees. I went to "My Pictures" file and found the photos that needed rotating . I highlighted all of them that needed rotating (CTL - select photos). Then "Right Click" and select Rotate CW or CCW). Then the photos in the project were automatically rotated.
This may be easier that using Pan-Crop on each photo if you have several photos that need rotating.
