Rotoscoping Plugins

DataMeister wrote on 2/5/2003, 2:55 AM
Ok. Now we have some really impressive color correction, a decent looking DVD authoring package, a whole slew of other minor improvements.

All we need is a few rotoscoping plugins to cut people from a background or do wire removal, etc.

And maybe some automatic object tracking that we can then associate with the track motion (for image stabalization) or associate with a mask to enhance moving objects like brightening someones face without affecting the rest of the scene. Or possibly even associated with the rotoscoping plugins above.

Those are my biggest wishes I think, since like a year ago when I had to work with Pinnacle Commotion. It would be so much easier to just keep things within Vegas and not have to do a bunch of exporting in uncompressed files.

Oh my gosh that is awsome! I think one day I'm going to have to send you a big check, Satish.

Now that I think about it, that is probably a logical step from your morphing software. The interface probably would only need minor modification.

Pretty soon, Satish, you might be able to sell your plugins to Sonic Foundry as a package to be included in Vegas 5.

Rotoscoping would be great. I have done a few fun projects using it, such as light sabers and such. I did it using the .flm in Premiere which worked fine, but a little taxing on the system. I would love to be able to move between frames to see the effects of the animation. I also played a bit with AlamDV which worked really well, but I haven't purchased it yet.

Can't wait for Vegas 4.0, already preordered it :-)

Sounds awesome Satish! Where you find the time to do all this great work I don't know. Can you give any details....Is it going to be vector or bitmap based? I have been praying for a keyframeable spline/vector plugin for Vegas...imagine the basics of Moho 4(www.lostmarble.com) inside Vegas for animated rotsplines, masks, 2d animation and titles!!!! I presume so are gonna charge us for this baby....not that I will complain if u don't =)

Satish - Your plugins have changed the way I use Vegas, thanks very much for your work. I would buy stuff off you!

Any chance that you can make it easier to change the fiddly numbers when inputting data to your interfaces?! The jumps it makes using the mouse are often too big!!

Thanks

Alex

PS I will go to you site and send above

hey satish, how is the premiere/photoshop plugin support going along?:D
satish wrote on 2/22/2003, 1:26 PM
Going good. First phase of supporting photoshop image plugins is almost done, and i'm adding animated plugins support now. Still in testing phase though...

Satish,
I keep hearing great things about your plug ins. Where might a humble civil servant like myself find these plug-ins?
