Rubber Audio

Hi all,

I have Vegas LE and wondering about upgrading to Audio 2.0.

What is Rubber Audio? Is this like Acid functionality with the advantage of a disk based play/record system that works without stuttering?

How do you make an audio event loop? The online help only mentions Region looping.

The only Vegas LE project I've created crashes the machine now after loading 14% - can I recover the project?

Thanks for any answers and for any general comments on Vegas audio. I'm currently using Logic Audio slaved to Creamw@re TripleDAT via MTC, but I got Acid 3 and SF 5 in the last 2 months - do I also need Vegas?

Regards

Great, thanks for the help guys :-(

Anyways I downloaded the manual for the full version of Vegas and it seems that Rubber Audio isn't hardly even mentioned, but the timestretching and looping seem to work fine in LE. In fact I like it loads.

So what are the various merits of Acid vs Vegas, as they kind of look similar, only Vegas copes better with disk-based tracks and Video? If I have Vegas do I really need Acid as well?

Thanks

Vegas is a full fledged multi-track digital audio
recorder, whereas ACID is more of a loop based
arranger tool with limited audio recording.
That is probably the easiest way to explain. They
both do have and share some overlapping capabilities,
but are designed for differing purposes.

This also happened when I re-did the project but the .bak file loaded OK when I renamed it. What could the problem be and will it be resolved if I upgrade?

Using 2.0c build 376

Thanks
