Vegas 7 will be compatible with dual SLI video cards 512 meg playback realtime assist for 27.970 playback of maxed out projects on 64 bit quad processor applications. This will be the pro version with the normal version much unchanged. HDV playback will have options to set which method to playback rendered files and/or software programs.
There will be a breakthrough on "ram coding" to software expand 1 gig of ram to 8 gig, 4 gig to 32 gig equivalent. Another option will be to use a SATA 300 quad drive system to use as ram. There will be an 18 gig programable EPROM that contains the OS and all applications. Instant boot and instant off, no files lost. Applications will be added or deleted same as we do firmware now. " Hackers" would have to have the "EPROM " code to bust into the system.
Vegas will not only do HD but also "3D" holographic HD.

Yes, it will be called Vegas 8, or V8, to indicate its high performance.

V8! It's juicy too!

I'm thinking Tahoe , or Tunica, or maybe Foxwoods.

How about Veg-O-Matic?

Sigh, I guess that's taken already.

(THIS IS MY 500th POST!!!!)

Vegas 8 will be dubbed the greatest breakthrough in software in our modern era. It will come with cell chips and an adapter to place in your pc to get it to fit. There will be no need for updating your system drivers as Vegas will do that for you with that legendary stability that has become a trademark. It will utilize every ounce of power that the cell can muster and render HDV at amazing speeds- 2 hours of footage will render in less than 10 minutes. The interface will not change, but the way you interact with it will. All you have to do is put on the "mouse replacement cap" and think about what you want Vegas to do and it will do it automatically. This cuts editing time down to nothing! The engineers at Madison have hailed this breakthrough as the best thing money can buy for editors. (They are now able to do updates with mind blowing speed- did I mention that Vegas 12 will be out 2 weeks after Vegas 8?)
Oh, I forgot to mention that since the engineers are able to make the program so much quicker and smoother, it is going to be offered for 25 bucks a download and you will get the cell and the cell adapter via mail for shipping cost only.

I hope this puts an end to all those nasty rumors about the new Vegas. If you want to read the press release backing up the claims listed here, please go to http://www.I'llthrowthegoldengateinforfree.com and read for yourself.

It will come with complete Studio 8 emulation, allowing users who enable this function to crash regularly.

V8.1 will self install the moment you think "I want it." Sony will bill your credit card before you reach for your wallet. V8.2 will know what you're thinking and automatically render the scene you want before you turn on your camera. V8.3 will control your every thought and fill your mind with visions of Daffodils and happy children playing.

Behold, V8.4 cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see it, and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of it.... no wait, that's revelations, never mind.

In keeping with a tradirion started by uSoft I think Vegas needs a change of geography, "Madison" should do nicely.

It will be called "Reno."

It will be over 700MB in size and will come on a DVD-Rom disk.

In order to install, it will require not only NET 1.1sp1 but also MS Office and MS Money 2005.

Anticipating the trend to multiple monitors, it will offer a "VideoWall" option, which will support 4, 9, 16, or 25 monitors.

It will be shipped in a gigantic box. When you open the box, a person will jump out and do all the editing for you. Also in the box is 30 days of food.
