Rundll: Error Loading C:\PROGRA~1\Sonic... AGAIN

I just got my Vegas 4.0/DVD etc. I get the above error whenever I open Vegas. I have followed the direction in the "knowledge base" but the error still exists. Is there another way to fix it????

I also notice all download updates are HUGE. Do I have to download the whole program just for an Update?
Win XP Pro SP1
1024 ram
P4 2.4

Are you guys running with admin privilages? Maybe that has something to do with it.

That, or are there multiple user accounts on those computers? I seem to remember that being an issue somewhere

hm. I have multiple Accounts. But all with Admin privilages. The other account has the same problems. :-((

Does anyone knows what effect has the error?

Did you try running Vegas under admin? At work I setup a user account after I formatted the comp. However, windows explore always crashes, settings aren't saved all the time in programs, and their copy of sound forge acts funny sometimes. This doesn't happen in admin.

HM. Ok I will try it tomorrow and let you know if it works

As Admin I have the same trouble :-(

Is there no other Chance than install the System new?

Editied the registers then re-installed vegas?

Also another stupid question. :) Are you using the latest version (Vegas 4.0d or e)?
Are you using XP? Did you happen to install ANYTHING else around the time this started (DX, another app, etc).

I don't want ya to have to re-install windows. That stinks (I did it 2 weeks ago).

Yes I have 4.0e and edit my registry and deinstalled and installed Vegas new.

I use XP with 512 MB DDR Ram, a GeForce 4 TI Graphic Card and a AMD Athlon 2400 XP Processor.

This started immediatly with the first run. And there is nothing I have installed the last 4 Weeks befor. :-(

I think there should be something other wrong in the registry. But I can't find anything
