RX 7 Mystery Installation Procedure

So, RX7 is a nice idea.

However, the installation process, and software authorization for RX7 is a complete mystery to me.

After contacting IZOTOPE customer service, they advise me that VEGAS Creative Software needs to fix this problem, not IZOTOPE.

I have a "challenge/code" generated by the IZOTOPE installation software, but SURPRISE, IZOTOPE does not use this system of purchase validation any longer, and there is no way to install this software.

From what I gather, there are numerous issues with installing RX7.

The actual installation and activation process of RX7 or RX7 Advanced is 100% an iZotope process and does not involve any VEGAS process. In you post, you didn't explain how Vegas came to be involved in your discussions with iZotope. Presumably, you are trying to get RX7 to work from within Vegas Pro - is this correct?

Assuming that this is the case, once RX7 has been installed and activated (through iZotope's registration/activation system), 11 RX7 plugins (plus 2 utility plugins) should appear in Vegas Pro (with RX7 Advanced - might be fewer with RX7 standard) though it may be necessary to go to Options/Preferences and select the VST Effects tab and then use one of the search folders to direct Vegas Pro to the folder on the C drive containing the RX7 plugins.

Also, if it is wanted to have the RX7 as your preferred audio editor in Vegas Pro, go to Options/Preferences and select the Audio tab. Use the Preferred Audio Editor field to select RX7's .exe file which should be under C:\Program Files (x86)\iZotope\RX7 Audio Editor\win64. To use RX7 this way, R click on the audio event on the timeline and from the context window that opens select Open in Audio Editor (or Open Copy in Audio Editor). The full RX7 program will then open with that audio track opened in RX7.

If your discussions with iZotope revolved about Vegas in some other way, please provide details.

Do you have RX Elements, the Standard or Premium? Elements is a plug-in only as I recall, The others can be used as stand-alone config or as a plug. RX Elements is included with Sound Forge Pro-14 when purchased singularly,, but not.. when SF is included with VP.
