RX3 on sale

Got a notice that Izotope's RX3 sale ends today (5/1). I currently use RX2 in Vegas 12 (usually Noise Reduction as a Vegas plugin). I've tried comparing RX2 & RX3's noise reduction on the same clip, the only real difference I notice is that RX3 seems to be able to use its higher quality NR algorithm in real time. Am I missing anything here? Is it worth it to upgrade? (I'm not talking about RX3 Advanced, just the plain ol' RX3.)

It's kind of late for me to reply, but I'll give you my 2 cents anyway.

I didn't notice a big difference between RX3 and RX2 for noise reduction, but one tool that has been very helpful in RX3 is de-reverb.

It's not a miricale worker, but if there is just enough room echo to make your audio sound unprofessional, de-reverb can make it better.

I used it with a studio recording that was in a dry room, but there was early reflections off of the desk. I used de-reverb to remove the reflection, then a nice convolution reverb to put the guy in a nice sounding room.

So for noise reduction, I don't see a big difference, but having de-reverb on hand is well worth it.

NB: The DeReverb Plug is ONLY available in RX3 Advanced.

The big difference between RX2 and RX3 in the noise reduction department is speed, RX3 is light-years faster than RX2.
