S key (split) does not work

At times during a project the "S" key (Split) does not function then mysteriously it works.. Do I have to change a setting? Or is this a memory problem?

It's easy to create senarios where the split key won't work.

To get the "S" key working again, make sure the timeline has the focus. If you start clicking outside the timeline, the "S" key may not work.

The "S" key will split SELECTED events. If you have events selected but none under the cursor are selected. NOTHING will be be split. In that case, just press "CTRL-A" and the "S" to get it to split.
