?'s on booktype and DVDA 3

I don't have DVDA 3 yet, but I am wondering if anybody has played around with the dual layer burning aspect of it yet. Will DVA 3 allow you to specify the booktype for whatever you are burning, or does it set it automatically and transparent to the user? The reason I am asking is that I have heard that one should try to always set the booktype to DVD-ROM for dual layer discs, as this will solve the vast majority of compatability problems with most set top players. Can one set the booktype to DVD-ROM in DVDA 3?

Most DL+R burners on the market will automatically set the booktype to DVD-ROM on DL+R media - however, there are a few burners that don't do this, so if you are contemplating a burner purchase you should investigate - www.cdrinfo.com has a large number of reviews and every review investigates what the burner allows with booktype. DL-R media cannot change the booktype (as far as I know).

I didn't see anything in the DVDA 3 documentation that would indicate the booktype could be set. From what I've seen, generally if the DL+R burner allows it at all, but doesn't do it by default, then there's usually a utility provided with the burner that can change it.

Personally, I'd look for a burner that allows the booktype to be set for SL+R and DL+R - and then use something like Nero to do the actual burn since it has the ability to set the booktype if the burner alows it.
