Same 64 bit issues with 12 as 11

Took the "plunge" and got 12.....seems in the last release of 11, the 64 bit version was finally usable...had been using 11 32 until the last release. But Im back to square one with 12......64 runs so slowly (rendering, preview playback, etc) that I
cant use it...had to recreate the project (which like an idiot I did not rename in 12) in 11 32 bit to finish the project....of course there is no 32 bit version of 12..... I even loaded on another W7 64 bit machine to compare, thinking perhaps my main NL editing computer was the issue.....ran just as poorly on the other 64 bit computer. My NLE is a Dell Studio XPS i7, 16 gb ram, etc, etc....no processing power issues of which I am aware..... Am I by myself in this mess, or is there an inherent issue with Vegas 64 bit version, period....of course crashes are just a part of the landscape these days....I digress....HELP !!!

Experimenting resulted in the following....

11/32 works OK with GPU acceleration on.....
12/64 work much better with GPU off....barely functional with GPU enabled...
Aside from preview playback performance, both Dynamic ram and rending to file are far faster as well.... In the past when I have tried turning GPU on and off, I failed to restart the application, so I saw no difference. Having gone back and forth several time correctly now, it is quite apparent the 64 bit GPU accel is the issue....

I also have 24 gb of RAM installed, but the system is showing only 15, however, running memory tests results in no errors....perhaps 64's ability to access what may be "bad" memory is an issue ??

So there must be a 32/64 bit issue related to GPU and/or the video card...

Any really good educated guesses as to how to resolve ? Thanks
