I use a Yamaha ProMix01 to mix down my keyboards and take
the digital out to my Pinnacle soundcard digital in for
recording. The sample rate for all this 48k. My problem is
that I can't record that to a CD (which of course needs
44.1k sample rate). When I use Sound Forge 4.5XP to
resample from 48k to 44.1k, the output is full of digital
artifacts and completely unusable. Is there a way for me to
down convert to 44.1k digitally, or will I have to record
the source material at 44.1k? This would be very difficult
for me with my setup since I'd have to then use the A/D on
my soundcard (Which stinks for recording) thereby
introducing an extra D/A - A/D conversion. Any ideas?
Thank you.
