Sartup action

I'm trying to make a DVD that will play five MPEG 2 files.

Should I make this a "compilation"? or a DVD movie?

Do I need to set a startup action as I would in other DVD authoring software, or does DVDA automatically open the menu when I put the disc in a player?

If the latter is true, I'm doing something very wrong, caus I just made 2 new coasters that do nothingwhen I put them in a DVD player.

Is there any book, manual, website or other medium that gives a good step-by-step tutorial on using DVDA? The Sony help guide seems to lack some basic how-to.

Thanks

I think it depends on how you set up the project either as a compilation or menu based.
Usually the first item added is the FIRST PLAY.

You can click on any item in the project overview area then the purple button with
a star in it.

I'd create a playlist with the two files then set that as first play.

BTW: I always use a RW disc on my first attempt with a new project. It is ereasable.
