SATA DVD Drives

Hey y'all, I just purchased a new system, including a SATA DVD drive. DVDA4 will blow off immediately when I try to burn to it, "A SCSI/IDE error has occured. Check your SCSI/IDE configuration". The motherboard is ALL SATA, no IDE slots. I added an external USB DVD dirve and DVDA4 has no problem, works perfectly. While this is a work-around, does anyone have an idea how I can get the original drive to work? I can burn a data DVD to it.
Thanks!
Daryl

Definitely report this to Tech Support. The newest Intel chipsets are moving away from PATA towards SATA. DVDA needs to be able to work with these.
