I have a project that uses two big .avi files - one 1.5 GB, one 5 GB. I've selected clips out of it and placed them on the timeline. Now I want to just save enough of the clips to reproduce the project, so I do Save As with "Copy and trim media with project" checked, and then I select the option "Create trimmed copies of source media" with 2 seconds extra head and tail. I have done this many times before without problem.
For some reason, it is not saving trimmed copies of the media - it's saving the entire clips again. I swept the media pool before doing this to eliminate unnecessary clips. I can look in the Edit Details box and see that all the events are less than 17 seconds long, and the entire project is only 2 minutes and 24 seconds long, so there's now way the trimmed media should be the entire clip.
I have used slow motion on many of the clips, both by ctrl-dragging and using velocity envelopes. This seems to be a factor somehow.
Is there a work-around?
