Save as with media copy not copying un-trimmed media

I've noticed that if I save-as and tell MS to copy and trim the media that it won't copy media that it decides not to trim.

Is there an way I can get it to copy *all* the media, even if it doesn't trim a particular file?

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

And as a secondary question why doesn't MS copy the peak files when it copies the media?

The copy trimmed media with the save-as command is a relict from DV-avi time. Other file-formats are always copied originals completely and not trimmed copies.

@michael-harrison
Is there a pattern of what kind of files would not be copied? A certain file type? A certain size of files? Audio-only files? Graphic files?

"other"

What other? Non-avi? The only format I use these days are mp4

It's difficult to tell. At best I just get a message saying that some media wasn't trimmed to maintain quality a nd naturally when I tried this again it appeared to copy all the media. I'll have to keep a sharper eye on this next time.
