Is there anyone out there who can help me understand how to save my my captured media in a WAV format.....It defaults to AVI--SFK format which does not work when I attempt to burn a DVD(Video only no Audio--as the file is AVI SFK which does not work). One audio file was saved as a WAV format and worked when the DVD was burned, but i don't know how it was done. Any help would be greatly appreciated......

The .sfk file is the picture of the audio track that you see on the timeline. It is not the actual audio. To create a .wav file Render As to a new file and select Wave (Microsoft) (*.wav) for the Save as type:.

Thank you for the information........I am not that familiar with the program, but I do remember when selecting MAKE A MOVIE... I was advised that I would be rendering the files/data.......after this is done, is the the time to create a wav file for the rendered sfk file?

You don't do anything with .sfk files at all, they are for Vegas to use when you launch it to display the waveform in the track.

You should go to the Movie Maker forum for your other questions, this is Vegas, Vegas doesn't have "Make a Movie".

Ooooh, this is Vegas Studio, not Vegas. First ... forget the .sfk files. They are NOT audio files. Ignore them.

To render a .wav file in Vegas Studio, click Make Movie, Save it to your hard drive, Advanced Render, set Save as type to Wave (Microsoft) (*.wav), choose an output filename, and then click Save.
