Save display settings, etc?

I have my audio and video tracks magnified, and would like to have the same settings when I start a new project. Is it possible, as it would save time doing it each time for a new project.

Also, can I upon starting a new project, have audio and video envelopes automatically inserted?

Once you have your tracks set the way you want them, right-mouse-button click in the track header of one video track and one audio track and click Set Default Track Properties. This will let you specify various parameters to be used as future defaults, including track height and effects. I don't believe it will save envelope choices though.

In addition to Chien's advice, you could create a project with envelopes inserted, then save it as Template or something, and I think there is an "automatically open up last project" option somewhere in Preferences.
