I love V6's feature of being able to TRIM video clips for saving purposes. However, I have found that this feature does NOT work with HI DEF clips. (MT2) extensions. Has anyone else had this problem?
This feature generally only works with AVI and DV files, which contain complete frames. The problem with MT2 files is that they are based on MPEG which uses temporal compression and many frames are based on information from previous frames. In order to trim these files some parts of them may need to be rerendered. It's possible that the Cineform intermediate codec files would be trimmable, but i haven't tried it yet to see what happens.
