saving alpha in imported sequence of *.tga files

I often use a particle animation program called Illusion. In order to output from it with the alpha channel intact, you have to render a series of *.tga files. When importing these to Vegas, how can I change the properties for the buzzillion still frames as one big group? Ain't NO way I'm going into each and every still frame and changing the alpha settings in media properties! There's got to be an easy way of doing this. I have After Effects 5.0, but have not learned it yet. I think it might have a way of doing this if Vegas can't do so easily.

Thanks

Vegas can do what you want. Search Vegas online help for "Still Image Sequences"- the subject is well covered.

I know what you mean.

Properties is not functional for multiple clips :-(

As usual there are multiple ways of doing things in VV3. In your case, it seems like still image sequence is appropriate. File>Import Media> then check the still image sequence box. This creates a single file which Properties is then good to go.

Another way is to group images or clips on the timeline and render to a new track. This will take that series that is grouped and create a single clip. Then properties will also work. There is render time involved though.

There are probably other ways that I don't know about as well. Also, some of the functions in properties are also available as switches which do work with multiple selections.
