Saving DV AVI in Virtual Dub

I like to use Virtual Dub for the noise reduction filters and render them out to AVI for further editing in Vegas. However, Virtual Dub by default does not seem to have a compression sceme for saving the AVI into the same DV quality that Vegas has. The main one is uncompressed which is WAY too big and far bigger than the file size that of the DV compression AVI.

Are there any codecs for Virtual Dub where I can save AVIs to the same DV AVIs ready for further editing in Vegas?

Sony installs its DV codec in a way that makes it unavailable to other applications. Thus, you cannot use it to encode DV from VirtualDub. Here are some codecs you can download and use with VirtualDub:

Download and install the free Panasonic codec from this site:

Purchase and install the MainConcept DV codec from here:

Download and install the free Huffyuv codec from this site:

Thank you so much. Now I don't have to save my AVIs as those enormous uncompressed ones. You really know your stuff. :)
