saving project in Vegas Pro 21

I recently upgraded from Vegas Pro 16 build 424 to Pro 21 build 315. When I save a project in 21, it will only save in Vegas Pro 16. It will not save as a pro 21 project. I am using windows 10. Any idea why it will not save as a Pro 21 project?

I don't quite understand. You save a project in VP21, it will be a VP 21 project. You decide what location to save the project file.

Or... are you saying the .veg icon looks like the one from VP16? Try opening your saved VP21 project in VP16 and see if it opens.

It's a Windows issue. You can right click on the .veg file and choose which program opens it. Change it from 16 to 21 if you want 21 to open all veg files.
