Saving Projects

Hey, I'm running windows 7, so I can't use Vegas 16 or 17, I'm using Vegas 13 and now 15, as I save my projects on Vegas 15 they go and get saved on Vegas 13, when I try to open them it tells me that they are from a newer version and to down load it, how do I correct that?

Projects from higher versions cannot be opened in lower versions, lower ones can be opened in higher ones.
You can try to open both programs and open the project in the higher version and copy the whole timelime for trying to add them into the lower versions .
That is only possible if all the used extra's are the same in both versions.

They are probably being saved as 15 but Windows is still associating vf files with 13, so incorrectly says they are 13. Confusing I know. You can alter the Windows association.

Altering the association won't make any difference to your problem. It won't alter how they are saved. It's just a label assigned by Windows. To change it, Settings/Apps/Default Apps and scroll down to "Choose default apps by file type".
