I have a client that wants dozens of very short individual clips extracted from his raw footage. What is the best way to save all of these" little pieces" SEPARATELY to my hard drive?
I suppose the safest way is to set up a master folder then within that start creating a bunch of individual folders with a short successive naming format.
Find out what file format he wants them to be in.
Then use the render selected region only to get those on a new timeline.
Then there are advanced software programs for viewing and working with folders you can try out.
Charge him more for the extra work you will have to do.
If you make regions of all those little sections then you can use the Batch Render script (included with Vegas) to automatically render each region to a separate file in one shot. But, as Bill points out, negotiate with the client first for what file format and other particulars are desired.
