Saving the 'pre-rendered' file?

LooneyTunez wrote on 10/24/2002, 12:25 PM
I've noticed that when applying (DirectX) FX to the tracks, that unless you have 'burn-proof' enabled, a coaster will be produced, unless you 'pre-render' the project first. That is a great feature to be able to 'pre-render', but if I want to burn mulitple copies, it has to 'pre-render' again for each burn. Is there any way the 'pre-rendered' file could be saved and/or opened in CD Arch? Also, how about including an option for burning mulitple copies?

Would love to, but how is this done in CD Arch 5? I came across an earlier post about this, and do I understand this option is just not available in the beta version?

It's in build 49, File > Save As, type = image file.

Cool! Thanks!

The next beta (and, of course, the final version) will keep a rendered temporary image file around until you make changes to your project or exit. So, you'll be able to exit and return to the burn dialog without having to re-do a pre-render.

that's great news, Dennis. Thanks.

For some reason, I have to pre-render if I want to burn over 12x, with absolutely no FX or dithering, even though I can burn at 24x in other software on the same PC.

There are some optimizations we haven't done yet that might gain you more speed, we'll see.

Dennis:
I was going to burn a few last night, but I was working on a project until late and ended up burning in Sound Forge directly. It was just three songs on a single CD anyway. I'll try to burn a few tonight in CD Architect.
