Saving UI Configuration in Vegas

I've searched, but can't find what I'm looking for.

Once you've re-configured the layout of Vegas' interface, isn't it supposed to save itself upon closing the program? Or is there some keystroke combination we're supposed to use to save such changes?

If you're using Vegas 8, it also has a Save Layout function on the View > Window Layouts menu. This wasn't available when layouts were first introduced.
