I am creating a project that will be PAL DV wide screen. When I add a file to the time line by draging from the Explorer Panel and dropping on the time line, the software uses the default pixel aspect ratio of 1.0926. For every scene I add, I need to manually adjust this to 1.4568 for the PAL DV Widescreen.

The Help tells me I can set the default properties to use by clicking the called 'Save Settings to Video Profiles for Future Auto-Detection' after I have made the changes I want.

I have done this any number of times and the feature does not work. Even after clicking this button, the wrong properties set.

Does anyone know if this is a bug in the software, or if I am just mis-understanding the feature.

I am working with Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 7.0a (Build 52).
