I am having probs with the curser in sawpro when vegas is
on same drive. If I move the files that vegas sits in to
another drive everything is ok.I have narrowed this down to
direct x plugs in vegas.Any help or ideas?
Huh? I don't see how Vegas and SAW could interact. There is
no "connection" between the two.
Are they running at the same time? If so, how are you routing outputs
for each? What audio hardware?
What files do you move?
What makes you believe it is a plugin in?

Hello peter.
It is when I am working in saw;vegas is not on.If I remark out the
directxlinker in saw the curser runs fine. The only plugs are the
directx of Vegas that install into the saw directxlinker. But i really
noticed the change when I took vegas Video and moved it's folders off
to another drive. Then saw was ok.It makes no diff what you are doing
in saw.You can just run a simple wave file and it's curser bounces
all over the place, then you move the folder of vegas out of drive and
it is fine.Hmmmmm...Really weird.

Sounds like the SAW DirectXLinker is doing something. When you move
Vegas to different dir, the linker can't locate and load(why it would
be doing this....) the plugins.
I don't know what to tell you here. Have you contacted Bob Lentini?

Still tryin to find this peter. This is fooling me on a day to day
basis.I move the folders and everything works fine .Then I turn
machine back on and it acts up with vegas still on other drive. This
is really crazy.I am going to reinstall this evening to try and see
what happens.I will say though that I am seeing somthing wrong;I have
the 3com homeclick network for my computers to share waves and
storage use. After I pull in some waves off of my storage drive, then I
start vegas or saw and get a message saying not enough memory to run
app or a message about the corrupt dll again in vegas.I then reboot
and then I can open vegas with no prob.It is only after I use the
network.I uninstalled it twice and found nothing wrong.System reports
nothing wrong.Hmmmm....
Still at a loss.
Appreciate the effort on your end Peter!!;-)

One item caught my eye . . "3com homeclick network"
I too had tried that networking method, and all kinds of strange
things started happening. It was several months ago, and I can't
remember specifics, but I ended up reinstalling Win98SE on all
machines to get rid of it.
I was also suspicious when I tried to use one of the other CD's in
the HomeClick pkg, and it told me invalid serial number, and
suggested I notify MSoft's piracy line. Never did figure that out.
I am seeing a prob between the nic card and the matrox card. They both
seem to share irq 11.Can't move either one though.Machine reports no
conflict .Also if I remove the powerdesk from bottom tray the "memory
allocation.." error stops.Hmmm......
