Scanner question can anyone help me

I am putting photos on video using the scanner. This has happened to me every time I try to do it. MY first picture does perfect goes right into vegas media pool and even crops itself with out a hitch but the second picture sends me to a black screen telling me to push any key or ctrl-alt-delete but restart is the only thing that will work at that point. Any ideas please???

what scanner are you using? Do you have the latest drivers for it?

I am using a Multipass f30 that i just purchased. I don't know about the drivers.

try starting the scanner from Photoshop or some other app- does it still force a restart?
