Scanning for plugins?

So what's with this new thing of "Scanning for Plugins?"
when you first start Vegas now? I think it only does this
the first time you start Vegas after power up. I currently
have 117 plugins on my system, so everyday when I first
power up my PC, the first thing I have to do is launch
Vegas, and then I have time to go make a pot of coffee,
because it takes 5 minutes before Vegas actually opens,
seeing that I have a large collection of DX plugins. This
makes things run smoother right?

Ahhh...I bet it does it everytime there's a change in your registry,
I have recently updated my OS and have been adding programs on a
regular basis. And yesterday I had just uninstalled Acid and
downloaded an update.
