In the VidCap program, under Options / Preferences (either the general tab or the capture tab, i forget which) is an option to enable DV scene detection. You probably turned this off. Check it and you will get separate files for each scene.

This will be dependant on:

1/- You had set your camera with a Date and Time

2/- That you had a System battery working in the camera

3/- That you started and stopped the camera to make separate clips.

On this basis you will get all the clips that you started and stopped the camera.

VidCap will not make an Optical "scene detection". For this you need different capture software.

ok, i think it was becuz the clock wasnt set in the camera since i had to reset it, but it will still capture stuff as 1 big scene that was recorded while the clock wasnt set right?
