Scene Detect Problem

Hello, I'm a VMS-P8 user contemplating stepping up to Pro-8. I've downloaded the trail Vegas Pro 8 and have captured some HDV files from my Sony HDR-HC3. My problem is that the following .mt2 file has residual frames from the preceding file (clip). This has occurred consistently throughout all my clips I have captured using Pro-8. When I capture using my VMS-P8 the resulting clips are clean, i.e. they are not contaminated with frames from the preceding file. Any suggestions on a fix?

YUP.
I have the HC3 as well and I get the same thing. The scene detect is always about 3 frames late. There are others having this problem as well. No fixes that I know of so far other than using another capture program like HDVsplit.
