After a hard drive crash, I reinstalled VMSP 6.0 with the latest updates on the new hard drive. Since then I encountered a few problems that I didn't have with my old configuration which was;
Screenblast Movie Studio 3.0
Vegas Movie Studio 4.0
Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6.0
All of these were installed without removing the older versions.
I remember reading several months ago, but can't seem to find it through a search where some features in an older version were not updated in VMSP 6.0. This is easy to correct, I'm about to uninstall VMSP 6.0 and reinstall VMS 4.0 then install VMSP 6.0.
I did a transition in an older project between two clips similar to the "Page Roll' but the transition wasn't a ROLL. The transition was a flat clip that I could maneuver in any direction. This is probably what could be fixed by installing V 6.0 over V 4.0. Or I'm getting up in age where my memory is failing Me and can't find it. :-{) No big deal!
My main concern is, I'm having a problem with scene detection. Most clips are detected correctly, but there is an ocasional sequence of clips where everything is run into one clip. The time stamp on my camera is hours and even days apart but the two clips run together as one. On the time line in VMSPE the end of the first clip freezes for a few seconds then the next clip is normal but in DVDAS the last few seconds of the clip repeats without audio. This is annoying. I can cut out the freeze in VMSPE to eliminat the problem for my DVD, but... it's something that didn't happen before I reinstalled the software.
I know the most logical solution is to reinstall the newer version over the old, (which I will do) but has anyone else had this problem?
My camera is a Sony DCR-TRV520-NTSC. Please don't say thats the problem!
Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
