I understand how to use the program to capture time frame video segments off of my digital video camera...

but was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to explain how to use scene detection for a already uploaded mpeg file...

I have about an hour of family footage at the beach, already uploaded into one hugh mpeg file on my PC... I don't want to watch the whole thing then stop and split clips every couple of minutes, is there a way for movie studio to automatically split the clips based on content and/or time? (then I can simply go through and delete the clips I don't want and use the ones I do.)
