Your question isn't all that clear. What are you trying to accomplish? Could you give us more details?

You can accomplish this with Pan/Crop, with Track Motion, or with masks and a combination of both.

is a link to a 3 way split screen with soft edges, and here is a simple split screen using a mask with a soft edge.
If you want a hard edge that contains the full frame, although squeezed, put your two clips on two tracks, directly over/under each other, and use track motion with Aspect Ratio Lock disabled, and squeeze the images in place.
If you don't want the full frame displayed so that nothing is squeezed, simply use Track Motion to move each frame so that the left/right edges are respectively centered in the Preview Window.
