No, Vegas does not perform any screen capture functions.

However, I think if you use camtasia or fraps or any of the other screen capture products, that you should be able to bring your videos into Vegas and edit them. (But I've not done this personally.) I'm pretty sure some of the people here use VMS to edit gaming videos recorded with fraps, or create training videos captured with camtasia, etc.

Not the A I was looking for but oh well..

I have Jing Pro .. which I think will allow me to make 5 minute screen captures. It works; I just ran a test and saved it in .mp4 format and both audio and video came in just fine.

AVI Screen Classic is another screen capture program. The only thing w/ this app is the files get large as it captures to raw AVI. Also, sometimes Vegas has a hard time importing the file so I just render it to .mp4 then import to Vegas.
