Screen capture not recognising monitor

Hi all, thanks in advance-

I have Vegas pro 19, which I purchased to upgrade from the 16 specifically because it offered screen capture function. But when I run it, the only video option available is the camera (in the monitor) and the monitor screen itself does not show up as an option.

I'm running on an MSI with Intel core i7-10750H CPU @ 2.7GHz.

16G RAM

64 Bit OS; Windows 10

Display-

Intel UHD graphics,

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

Any help in turning this feature on would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

@Allan-Kalamir Hi, when you click Vegas Capture from the File menu, do you not get this ?

No, I don't get the generic monitor option, only the camera option shows up, that's why I'm confused.

@Allan-Kalamir Can you describe which button you're pressing & share a screenshot?

To get it to recognize my nVidia card, I had to go to the nVidia control panel and tell it that it must use this card for that EXE file. Then I have to start it manually in order to get the screen recognized. So I just use VEGAS Stream to capture the screen and cameras instead. VEGAS Stream can be imported directly into VEGAS with everything properly aligned.

When I click on the "start VEGAS capture" button, or the drop down that is above the leftmost column I get only a black, blank box. But when I go into File- then select VEGAS Capture, I get the screenshotted box.

Incidentally, I just went into my NVIDIA control panel and I don't see any option to enable a particular .exe file (also screenshotted)
