Guys,
I'm currently reviewing Screenblast 3.0 with a view to buying it. What I primarily want to do is take my 8mm tapes with multiple events and create DVDs with appropriate menus, transitions, audio the works. For example I havean 8mm tape with 4 major events on it. I want to take these events and add transitions between them, then create a DVD where each event is a button. Can I achieve that effectively with this software? Question is, how do I get 2hrs of 8mm tape into multiple events? Please let me know. Thanks

Rob.

Screenblast will allow you to segment and add transitions to your video production. To feed your tapes in, you need the capability on your computer to convert the analog video signal from your camera to a digital signal when you feed the raw video in. As far as making menus, I understand the DVD software that comes with Screenblast (and can be installed separately) doesn't have good menu capabilities. I don't use that DVD program, but rather "Click to DVD" which which came on my Sony VIAO computer. It enables creation of a menu, and can use still or clips from the production to illustrate each menu point. Perhaps someone else has a way of doing this with the DVD software that is bundled with Screenblast.
