Script error when preparing DVD

Hi,

I've just started trialling Vegas Movie Studio and so far all's well - until I get to 'Prepare DVD' in Architect. If I click on Prepare DVD I get an Internet Explorer Script Error which talks about an 'Object Required' and then a series of similar messages relating to various URLs, e.g.

file://C:\Documents and Settings\Andy\Local Settings\Temp\udat\upsell.htm
file://C:\Documents and Settings\Andy\Local Settings\Temp\udat\bottom_buy-close.htm

Is DVD preparing and burning possible in the demo version?
Any clues?

Andy

DVD rendering and preparing should NOT be available in the demo.

Thanks for your reply, although it's not what I wanted to hear! I wonder how I'm supposed to compare the DVD results against its competitors before I buy?

Can anyone comment on the quality of DVDs created by Architect vs. other competitors?

Thanks,
Andy

Assuming the same encoder used by DVD Architect, the results are great.

So I guess the next question is: does anyone know what the encoder is?

Since it is based on DVD Architect, I'm sure it's the same encoder.

Mainconcept is the encoder used.

Unfortunately you can't compare based just on the encoding results. You should also be looking at things like player compatability, feature set, etc.

I find that DVDA 2.0 has a pretty nice feature set - not everything, but pretty good. It is somewhat lacking on player compatability though, as based on my own experience and other reports from people in this forum it can produce DVD's that don't play correctly on all players.

That's a bit worrying. However, it looks to be a fine package and it's stable (so far). I guess there's only one way to find out - and that's buy it.

Thanks for everyone's help.
