Script Startup Slow?

This might just be a normal occurence, but on my rig (VV5 installed), running a script for the first time is very, very slow. That is, whenever I run a script for the first time, it takes forever it seems for the script to show its face. Every subsequent use of that script in the same vegas session is very speedy though. Is this normal behavior? Maybe I am just expecting too much. Thanks!

Yes. This is normal. The FIRST time it has to load the .NET engine. Subsequent times, the engine is already loaded.

Aaahhhhh, makes sense. It has never really bothered me before. However, whenever I was playing around with the layout scripts that are bouncing around now, it occurred to me that I could change the layout thirty times using keystrokes vs. the initial load time of the script. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have anything goofed up or setup incorrectly.

It can be distracting, JohnyRoy put me on to a good way of kicking the scripting off at startup, at startup I couldn't notice the any difference

Try his script on the sundance site, I can't remember what it is called off the top of my head
