Script to add shadow to all text in project

Hi guys, I have a massive project that needed to be subtitled. All of it's done, but to make the text clearer, I need to add a specific shadow to all the text. Can anyone give me a script to do this? It will take hours to do the whole lot manually.

Also, can I have a script to add an outline to all the text, in case this turns out to look better?

Thanks, I'm not very good at this kind of thing! I have immense gratitude to anyone that can help!

As I understand it you want to change one parameter (shadow) for all of your texts (events), without changing the other individual parameters of the texts (like the X and Y positions)?

1. You can not use "copy and paste event attributes".
2. You can not use a "normal" script because within a script you can only select the preset of an effect. You can't change the individual parameters. Even with a script that 'll copy and paste a custom preset it 'll change all the other parameters of the effect. See the following remark in the Sony FAQ concerning scripts : "one major shortcoming of the scripting API in Vegas is that specific parameters of video effects are not accessible to scripts." (!)
3. If you know how to to do all the actions with your keyboard for one event (text) you can "script" it with my (free) Virtual Script Creator program
(www.virtualscriptcreator.com). I was curious if it was possible. I got stuck when I tried to "TAB" to the desired parameter field in the "Sony Titles and Text media generator (plugin)". The reason is when you "reach" the text (text parameter field) itself, another TAB won't select the next parameter field; you can only "escape" from the text field by clicking with your mouse in another parameter field.

Did you find already a "scripted" solution?
Are you using the "Sony Titles and Text" plugin for the text or do you use another plugin (media generator)?

If your text is all one one track you can use Track Motion and enable the 2D Shadow option. Another option is to use Video Track Effects and add the Layer Dimensionality effect and enable the Shadow option.
