scripting disaster

I got a batch rendering script to work at last. I tested it with a simple project that just had a still on the timeline, and it worked -it created all the files I had set up.

I started the script on a very complex 11 minute project before I went home last night. When I got here this morning the computer was crashed and the internal hard drive (thank god not my boot drive) where I had created the output directory was HOSED - ("files are corrupt and unreadable"). All the folders on the entire drive are unreadable. I haven't given up hope for recovery, but it's slim at this point.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue or suggestions?

If your in serious need of data recovery, try any of the services at DTI Data. Depending on what exactly happened to your disk, they've got an assortment of tools and services that should be able to help you out. The most inexpensive tool is their FFR Utility. It's a small program that works beautifully on lost data. It works best on deleted files, but it can also resurrect bits and pieces of orphan files and corruptions.
