ok ive been using Vegas for the longest time now..and i still dont get what the scripts are used for and how to use them in video and why they would need to be used in video...can somebody please explain scripts to me??
1/- "To Infinity and Beyond" - Provide an added way of getting to your creativity, beyond the massive platform already on offer from Vegas.
2/- You Aint Alone!Take advantage of the many "scripts" now freely on offer by our VegHead friends from around the World.
3/- Getting Complex, Getting it Done! Try the ready-to-go GUI script based s/w developed purely for working within VV. I've used the MultiCam facility within Excalibur - one of the 3 JetDv mentions above - and have been "paid" for this work.
.. Bottom line "scripts" are kinda like macros we all may have used in things like MS Word or EXCEL . . they are just more FUN!
Editing video is all about workflow. You have to perform hundreds -- perhaps thousands -- of actions in order to create the final result. Many of those actions are virtually identical (e.g., split, then delete, then move) from one edit to the next. The idea of scripts is to automate repetitive tasks. They can be used for other things as well, but the main idea is to streamline your workflow.
The macros in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) are scripts.
